The Land Before Time

This has become Kristian's favorite movie lately which is funny because it's my original on VHS from the 80's. I was putting him to bed last week and here is our conversation (K=Kristian, M=Mommy): K-"Mommy, I Littlefoot" M-"Oh yeah?" K-"Yeah, and you Mother, Lila is Ducky, Papa Petry, Mamaw Three-horn" M-"Mamaw's a tree star?" K-"No, Mamaw Three-horn like Cera" M-"Oh, and who is Daddy?" K-"Daddy is Spike...(long pause).....Na-na (Shawna),....Na-na is Sharptooth! (lots of giggles from K)". It is so funny how his imagination is growing! He really keeps me entertained!

Eliza's 18 Month Pics

Kristian's Surgery

Kristian had his surgery on January 24th and is doing really well. Here is my account of the surgery day:

Before his surgery to make him comfortable in with the doctors, they gave him what they call "goofy juice" and boy did it make him goofy! As they were wheeling him down the hallway he was going "WHHHEEEEE!!!". When I was trying to say goodbye to him he grabbed my arm and in a very drunken manner said, "I LOVE you Mommy!". Then grabbed the sides of th bed and said, "I like this bed, it's cool!". Everybody in the hallway was cracking up because he was literally drunk!

By the time he woke up from his anesthesia he was already flirting with the nurses and asking for a sippy cup. Within 1 hour of waking up he had 4 sippy cups and a bowl of ice cream! As we were leaving he wanted to go play in the play area but I was worried about him overdoing it. He wanted to stop by McDonalds on the way home and scarffed down his entire cheeseburger and fries!

He's been doing great and has even stopped saying "Ouch" when we wipe him. Thanks so much for all the prayers and support!
